I. Lý thuyết cách làm thì quá khứ đơn và quá khứ hoàn thành

Thì quá khứ đơn

Cách dùng: Diễn tả một sự việc đã xảy ra và kết thúc ở một thời điểm xác định trong quá khứ, động từ chính trong câu sẽ được chia thì quá khứ đơn (past simple).

Công thức thì quá khứ đơn:

1. Câu khẳng định: S + V2/V-ed

2. Câu phủ định: S + did not (didn’t) + V-inf

3. Câu nghi vấn: Did + S + V-inf?

Thì quá khứ hoàn thành

Cách dùng: Diễn tả một hành động, sự việc xảy ra trước một mốc thời gian hoặc sự kiện cụ thể trong quá khứ, động từ sẽ được chia theo thì quá khứ hoàn thành.

Công thức thì quá khứ hoàn thành:

1. Khẳng định: S + had + V3/ed

2. Phủ định: S + had not (hadn’t) + V3/ed

3. Nghi vấn/ Câu hỏi Yes/No: Had + S + V3/ed?

4. Nghi vấn/Câu hỏi thông tin: Từ hỏi + had + S + V3/ed?

Exercise 1: Put the verbs into the correct form, past perfect or past simple
