I. Cách bày tỏ trạng thái, cảm xúc bằng tiếng Anh

Sử dụng cấu trúc:

S + was/ were (not) + adj.

Ví dụ:

I was tired. Tôi đã mệt mỏi.

Alfie wasn't thirsty. He was hungry. Alfie không khát. Anh ấy đã đói.

Lucy and Ben weren't scared. They were excited. Lucy và Ben không hề sợ hãi. Họ đã vui mừng.

II. Cách hỏi ai đó đã ở đâu trong quá khứ bằng tiếng Anh

Câu hỏi dạng Yes/ No:

Was/ Were + S + prep.(giới từ) + place (địa điểm)?

Yes, S + was/ were. Hoặc No, S + wasn't/ weren't.

Ví dụ:

Were you at the park yesterday?

Yes, I was.

Was Ben at the swimming pool last week?

No, he wasn't.

Câu hỏi có từ để hỏi:

Where + was/ were + S + adverb of time (trạng từ thời gian quá khứ)

S + was/ were + prep.(giới từ) + place (địa điểm)

Ví dụ:

Where were you last night?

I was at the movie theater.

Where was Nick last Saturday?

He was at the mall.
