Read the passage below and choose the best answer (A, B, C or D) to each question.
Telling the Whole Food Truth As a teacher of whole-food vegetarian cookery, I do feel a certain sympathy with the ‘Men for Meat’ group. There is both confusion and just plain, unappetizing cooking in this area, when a whole-food/ vegetable diet should and can be highly nutritious and utterly delicious.
The words ‘whole-food’ and ‘vegetarian’ are not synonymous: vegetarians do not eat any ‘fish, flesh or fowl’. Most eat dairy products. Those who don’t are called vegans. I tell students not to turn vegetarian until they have become knowledgeable about nutrition, and especially about protein. It’s very easy to become a sick vegetarian.
And a whole-food diet just consists of eating the whole of food, with nothing added, and nothing taken away. For example, you eat whole-wheat flour, not white flour, which has had bleach added. In all, no refined carbohydrates are eaten and very fatty and additive-laden foods are avoided and the stress is on fresh products of the best quality. And that’s all - except you must then find recipes which are both healthy and delicious because you’ll have to cook it all yourself. Very few ready-bought meals fulfill both requirements.
6. A whole food diet _____.
A. has a lot of nutrition
B. is easy to eat
C. is added with flour.
D. is often fresh
7. According to the writer, what is wrong with ready bought meals for vegetarians?
A. They can be cooked easily.
B. They can’t be both healthy and delicious.
C. They contain some additives.
D. They have best quality.
8. What is NOT true about the writer?
A. She supports the whole food.
B. She is a teacher.
C. She dislikes ready bought meal
D. She is a vegetarian.
9. The writer of this article feels a ‘certain sympathy’ for this group because _____.
A. She is a vegetarian.
B. They don’t know much about vegetarian cooking
C. her students do not eat meat.
D. “whole food” and “vegetarian” are not the same.
10. ‘Men for Meat’ is a _____.
A. group of vegetarians
B. cookery group
C. group that eat all kinds of food
D.group of men

Vietnamese people like to ask questions about age, marriage, salary, etc when they meet someone for the first time. This is the Vietnamese way of being friendly.
Presents
Vietnamese people always show their gratitude when receiving a gift. However, you should not be surprised if they do not open a present you had given them immediately. Opening a present in front of the gift-giver is considered to be embarrassing.

Although Vietnamese people always appreciate compliments, they are usually modest in their reactions. For example, in response to the compliment ‘What a nice dress!’ a Vietnamese girl may say, ‘I don’t think so. It’s very old.’

Culture is the lens with which we evaluate everything around us; we evaluate what is proper or improper, normal or abnormal, through our culture.
If we are involved in a culture that is unlike our own, we may experience culture shock and become disoriented when we come into contact with a fundamentally different culture. People naturally use their own culture as the standard to judge other cultures. Having our own judgement could lead us to discriminate other cultural values which are different from our own because we do not understand them.
Culture diversity is important because we can increase our level of understanding about other cultures by interacting with people outside of your own culture- meaningful relationships may never develop simple due to a lack of understanding.
Learning about other cultures also helps us understand different aspects in the world, and helps remove negative stereotypes and personal biases about different groups.
In addition, culture diversity helps us recognize and respect other ways of life that are not necessary our own, so that as we interact with others we can build bridged to trust, respect, and understanding across cultures.
Culture diversity supports the idea that every person can make a unique and positive contribution to the larger society because of, rather than in spite of, their differences.
