Smith: No, never. They never let us go out in the evening, even on Saturday or Sunday.

Smith: Yes, but we were always made to finish all our homework before we could watch TV.

Smith: Housework? No, we didn’t have to do much of that as our parents thought it was more important for us to study.

Smith: Most of the time my mother did it, and she was very good at cooking.

When she was away, we Couldn’t eat the food cooked by our father.

Smith: No, I had to do all my homework on my own, my father never helped.

Smith: No, they didn’t allow that. They said the telephone was not for chatting with friends.

Smith: Yes, I was very happy with my family. My parents really loved me and always took good care of me.
